Hi! My name is Cassie (she/her) and I am the artist behind Velvet Monkey.

I specialize in fine-line black and grey tattoos and predominantly use a machine but am dabbling in a combination of machine and stick and poke tattoos. I am interested in ornamental, romantic & creepy-cute imagery, botanicals, sentimental objects, nostalgic characters, number & lettering tattoos. I began learning how to tattoo independently in 2023 from my home studio in Seattle, WA.

As of 2025, I will be located back in my hometown Portland, OR.

I firmly believe in open communication and not rushing the tattooing process; designs are always sent in advance so clients can have time to request changes. I allow extra time within appointment windows to ensure clients are absolutely confident with the design, size, placement and style of tattoo.
